Preselection Criteria

Preselection Criteria for Articles Submitted to “Logopedia”

  1. The journal primarily publishes scientific research articles (source-based). The second expected type of text includes conceptual, review, and contributory papers. The third type includes case studies. Believing that scientific discourse is a free and open space for the exchange of ideas, we will also allow polemical texts into the review process, provided they meet scientific standards and do not infringe on the personal rights of others.
  2. An article must meet the following criteria:
    • Scientific merit: It significantly advances or broadens the current scientific reflection in the discussed area and meets the requirements of scientific research methodology.
    • Reliability: It contains comprehensive, verified data that go beyond mere opinions or beliefs.
    • Ethical standards: It does not violate personal rights or reveal any conflicts of interest.
  3. Only original works that have not been previously submitted or simultaneously submitted to any other scientific publisher may be admitted to the review process. The author is required to sign a statement provided by the Editorial Board of „Logopedia”. Only after this step will the preselection procedures begin.
  4. If the editorial team becomes aware that third-party rights or scientific integrity might have been or could potentially be violated in connection with a text under preselection, they reserve the right to immediately terminate the qualification process and take actions in line with COPE procedures.
  5. Only texts written in correct Polish will be admitted to the review process. Preselection evaluates linguistic competence on three levels:
    • Semantic, grammatical, syntactic, and stylistic accuracy.
    • Spelling and punctuation correctness.
    • Editorial standards.
  6. The editorial board promptly informs authors of the decision to admit their text to the proper review procedures. The decision to reject a text is final.
