Abstract

Communication capability is a basis of social, emotional, cognitive and linguistic development of child. That includes use of language among social group, which is adequate and refferend to social status of interlocutors (social capability). Moreover, the communication capability is to about adjust conversation to present time, place or subject (situational capability). Also, the pragmatic capability is the achievement of particular purpose of conversation. Important part of speech therapy diagnosis are verbal and nonverbal factors of communication capabilities, which are the basis to differentiate developmental disorders, and to direct therapeutic interference. Based on two case studies of neuro-developmental disorders (Asperger’s syndrome and Williams syndrome) specified profiles of communication capabilities has been presented, concerning the emotional, cognitive and linguistic development of child.
