Abstract

The paper focuses on describing speech therapy as a category conducting cognitive processes, that is the one which leads to gaining logopedic knowledge. By interpreting the title category in the spirit of internalism, including its verificationism, falsificationism, rationalism, focusing attention on pure facts, but also cognitive radicalism, tendency towards polarising approaches, the subject of speech therapy, which belongs to the order of science, was perceived from metalogopedic perspective, or the level of metascience.

Detailed interpretations were made in the spirit of sociology of knowledge, Kant’s epistemology, Neo-Kantists and metalinguistics. The context for them was a colloquial understanding of the subject of speech therapy, derived from the level of logopedic practice.
